The Commerce Commission says it is investigating a school accused of issuing fake New Zealand Qualifications Authority-accredited certificates to students.
The authority has confirmed that the school, Genesis Eight International College of Security, is not an accredited provider.
It says it is very concerned about the use of its name and is exploring legal options.
The authority says people can check on the NZQA website whether a group is a registered provider and they can also contact it if they have any concerns about a provider's services and qualifications.
