A post mortem is being carried out on an elderly Christchurch woman who died in a house fire in Spreydon on Tuesday afternoon.
Her body was discovered in her Stourbridge Street home by the Fire Service on Tuesday evening.
A police spokesperson says the woman has not been idenitified through usual means and formal identification may take some days.
Investigations into the fire's cause are continuing but initial indications are that it is not suspicious.
