The All Blacks won big at the Halberg Awards on Thursday night, including the supreme award.
Captain Richie McCaw is the sportsman of the year and the All Blacks took the team of the year title.
Sir Graham Henry won coach of the year award.
It was the first time since the inaugural Rugby World Cup in 1987 that the team was awarded the main title.
Shotputter Valerie Adams was sportswoman of the year for the sixth time, and swimmer Sophie Pasoce was disabled sportsperson of the year.
The final whistle of the World Cup final between the All Blacks and France was named the favourite sporting moment.
