Four people died in two road crashes on North Island roads on Saturday night.
Three people are dead following a crash at Rangiriri, north of Huntly, when a car and van collided, about 8pm.
And Tauranga police say one person died following a crash on State Highway 29, near the lower Kaimai Ranges, at about 8.30pm on Saturday.
Three other people involved in the crash were taken to hospital.
