Police and the Armed Offenders Squad raided an apartment complex in the Auckland suburb of Newton on Thursday morning and made three arrests.
The child exploitation team executed a search warrant at the Artizanz Apartments in Eden Terrace as part of an ongoing investigation.
Six apartments in the complex were the focus of the search.
No shots were fired during the raid, but imitation firearms were found at the scene.
A girl, 16, was one of those arrested for breaches of her bail conditions. The others were two men, aged 56, and 33.
They are appear in Auckland District Court.
