A man has been charged with manslaughter after a fatal crash on State Highway 1 near Paekakariki north of Wellington.
The police say the man, 22, was driving a car that hit Stacey Awhina Reweti's vehicle on Monday night, killing her and leaving him in hospital. She was 28.
The police say he was taken into custody as soon as he was discharged and will appear in the Porirua District Court on Friday.
