Ground staff at Auckland Airport are back on the job after heavy thunderstorms forced them off the tarmac on Friday afternoon.
An airport spokesperson says the precautionary measure caused little disruption and planes were still able to take off and land.
The spokesperson says two arriving aircraft were held at the gate for a short period while the weather cleared.
