About 10,000 people turned out for an annual Round the Bays race in Wellington on Sunday.
The 7km race started at Frank Kitts Park and finished at Kilbirnie Park.
Event director Craig Ireson says the day was a success for sport in Wellington as the emphasis was on taking part rather than on the performance of elite athletes.
