A woman has been successfully airlifted from a tramping hut in King Country after suffering a miscarriage.
She was with others tramping on the Pomarangai Track.
The woman lost a lot of blood after the miscarriage and was stabilised by a paramedic at the Arches Hut where she remained overnight.
A break in the weather at 8.30am allowed a helicopter with a winch to get her out.
