The Maritime Union has issued another strike notice to the Ports of Auckland, extending its current three week strike to one month.
The union and the port have been clashing over a new collective agreement but have held talks today, which will resume again Friday.
The union says although it is hopeful an agreement can be reached, it has issued a further week of strike action commencing on March 16.
The union says the strike action will be lifted if a settlement is reached.
