The Tonga government has announced that ministry of health facilities and schools are to get 50 percent discounts on their internet charges.
The chairman of Tonga Cable Limited, the prime minister, Lord Tu'ivakano, says providing fast, efficient and cheaper internet access for the health and education sectors has been one of the government's objectives.
The discounts apply from the 1st of January 2014 and all the registered schools and Vaiola Hospital have access to the offer.
