Finland has opened a honorary consulate in Tonga's capital, Nukualo'fa.
Finland's ambassador in Canberra, Pasi Patokallio, has just officially opened the new office.
Ambassador Patokallio says honorary consuls are a very important part of Finland's network as they often work with local businesses.
Radio Tonga says the first person to hold the post is Adiloa Fifita Latu.
