American Samoa's Governor Lolo Matalasi Molinga has been admitted to hospital in Honolulu.
The Office of the Governor said in a statement released late on Sunday that he went for a doctor's appointment this afternoon and his attending physician decided to admit him for observation.
The Acting Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga says the Governor traveled from Washington DC and arrived in Honolulu on Wednesday.
Lolo had been in the United States capital for two weeks but missed most of the meetings he was supposed to attend when he fell ill and underwent a heart procedure in hospital there.
