Pacific Island teams have found it tough going on day one of the International Schoolgirls Netball Challenge in Adelaide.
The Fijiana team were beaten 35-29 by Malaysia's Bukit Jalil and 54-18 against New Zealand.
Samoa were thrashed 49-13 by an Indigenous School team.
There were also losses for Auckland Tonga and a Pacific Rim selection while a New Zealand Pasifika team opened with a loss to Australia but bounced back to beat the Indigenous side.
