Former Manu Samoa centre Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu has criticised the All Blacks for never playing a test match in the Pacific Islands, suggesting the team was dictated by money and would have toured Nazi Germany if the price was right.
New Zealand Rugby announced earlier this month the All Blacks will play an international against the USA in Chicago in November.
The All Blacks have never played a Test in the Islands, and New Zealand Rugby chief executive Steve Tew says while it is something they would like to do their test calendar is booked up until 2019 and there is no room.
In a video posted to YouTube, Fuimaono-Sapolu says Polynesian players have had a massive influence on the success of New Zealand rugby and that the regions histories are intertwined.
But he says the rugby bosses are only focused on money.
"If Hitler had an interest in rugby and fronted the money and showed the All Blacks, told them to come tour Nazi Germany, the All Blacks would. There's absolutely no reason for the All Blacks not to tour...Fiji, not to tour Samoa and Tonga. If after all that they somehow come up with another excuse not to tour Polynesia then, in my most educated and articulate way of saying it, the All Blacks are an absolute bunch of [inaudible]."
