The Northern Marianas Superior Court has extended a temporary restraining order stopping the utility company from disconnecting electricity, water, and sewer services from the territory's hospital, the Commonwealth Health Center.

The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation threatened to disconnect unspecified services to the hospital due to outstanding arrears.

In December last year it filed a lawsuit against the Commonwealth Health Center claiming nearly ten million US dollars.

That debt is now said to be 11 million dollars.
