The Northern Marianas' Department of Public Safety is set to conduct drug testing on the territory's police officers.
The DPS Commissioner, James Deleon Guerrero, says the governor's office has committed to giving the department the money need to begin drug testing for law enforcement officers.
He says everything should be in place to begin drug testing in a month and a half.
