China has announced that its navy will send a fully-equipped medical ship to Papua New Guinea in September as part of a 500 million US dollar programme to enhance bilateral relationships.
The Post Courier reports that the navy vessel with 400 crew members on board is scheduled to visit Port Moresby for 5 days on September the 13th.
The latest announcement is the latest in a series of medical assistance programmes China has provided in the country, including the hosting of top Chinese doctors at Port Moresby General Hospital.
