Fiji's United Freedom Party is promising a job and scholarship for students with parents on low incomes.
The party starts formal campaigning today with a manifesto which also includes a scholarship for all students who want to play professional rugby.
The party wants to see the Army Commander made Vice President and Fiji's security forces expanded.
Its manifesto also includes a plan to create a Ministry of Religion and a 50 percent reduction in food prices, electricity and water bills.
It would hope to create more than 50,000 jobs in its first year of power, increase affordable transport, introduce a national housing scheme and remove traffic jams.
The party is one of seven registered parties in Fiji which goes to the polls on September the 17th.
