The president of Fiji's largest religious community, the Methodist Church, says its members should not miss out on the opportunity to vote in this year's general elections.
The newly elected president, the Reverend Tevita Nawadra Banivanua, has reiterated the Church's non-partisan approach to politics, saying he gives his blessing to all political parties campaigning in the election.
He also says it's important for church members to cast their vote on September the 17th.
"We are not calling to vote for any particular party but the party of choice, the people of their choice and we respect their choices, so we are encouraging them to vote."
The Reverend Tevita Nawadra Banivanua says the Methodist Church will be happy to work with the government chosen on the day.
