There has been no police comment following yesterday's raid of the the National Fraud and Anti Corruption office by armed police from another unit.
The road access to the office in Port Moresby was blocked around lunchtime yesterday and tyres of fraud squad vehicles were shot out by the visiting police.
Three detectives were taken to Boroko police station after a four-hour siege and there is speculation they were involved in a recent assault on a police lawyer.
