Samoa's Polynesian to keep flying Manu'a/Tutuila

Samoa's Polynesian Airlines is allowed to continue flights between American Samoa's Tutuila and Manu'a for another month.

The United States Department of Transportation granted Samoa's Polynesian Airlines request for cabotage waiver in order to continue the flights.

Polynesian began flying between the two islands under monthly waivers two months ago.

The latest 30-day approval starts November 1 and ends November 30.

The Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs Susan Kurland says the extension is needed in the public interest.
