A bill that aims to improve the performance of the building and construction sector has been passed into law.
The Building Amendment Bill (No 3) is the result of a 2009 review of the Building Act.
It will make a number of changes to the way building and construction is regulated in New Zealand, making designers, builders, building owners and consent authorities more accountable.
