Vietnamese delegation to visit NZ

7:49 pm on 13 April 2012

Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister arrives in New Zealand on Saturday for bilateral and business talks.

Vietnam is a member of New Zealand's fourth-largest trading partner, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which takes one-tenth of exports.

Nguyen Xuan Phuc will meet with Govenor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae, acting Prime Minister Bill English and other government ministers.

He will be accompanied by a delegation of ministers and senior officials.

Mr English says they will discuss two-way trade, education and opportunities for further co-operation between the nations.
