The New Zealand Government has agreed to share criminal history information with Australia.

Justice Minister Judith Collins said on Wednesday she has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Australian government to trial the sharing arrangement for employment vetting purposes for six months.

Ms Collins said it would enhance the free movement of people between the nations.

The trial begins from July this year.
