ACC bonuses symptomatic of 'sick' culture: Greens

Updated at 7:40 pm on 21 June 2012

The Green Party has revealed the use of bonus payments for ACC staff who successfully move claimants off the scheme.

Documents released under the Official Information Act show that ACC staff working with people receiving long term claim payments have specific targets tied to their remuneration.

Green MP Kevin Hague says those incentive payments and targets also apply to case managers, team leaders, technical claims managers and branch managers at ACC.

He says it is symptomatic of a sick culture within ACC.

But ACC Minister Judith Collins says the incentivised targets have been in place for some time and they do not necessarily lead to a bonus or a drop in pay.
