GCSB won't say if disciplinary action taken

7:45 pm on 18 October 2012

The Government Communications Security Bureau is refusing to say whether any disciplinary action has been taken against staff involved in the Kim Dotcom affair.

Asked whether senior staff member Hugh Wolfensohn had been put on gardening leave, bureau director Ian Fletcher said he would not comment on employment matters

Prime Minister John Key is also declining to comment, saying employment matters are for the bureau to deal with.

Mr Key repeated earlier comments that the first he knew about the matter was in September when the bureau told him its surveillance of Mr Dotcom had been illegal.
