The Green Party says the Government's approach to international climate negotiations in Doha is a foreign policy disaster.
Kennedy Graham MP said that as a result of the Government's decision not to sign up to the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol, it appears to have been shut out of the carbon market from 2016 onwards.
He said that because of its approach, New Zealand was judged the equal worst performer with Canada on climate change.
Dr Graham says it's now up to the Government to get New Zealand out of that position in the next 12 months.
