Another post in China for NZ

8:12 pm on 8 April 2013

New Zealand is to establish a fourth diplomatic post in China.

Prime Minister John Key, who is in China, said it will be in the west of the country, although a location has not been chosen.

Besides an embassy in Beijing, New Zealand has consulates in Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Mr Key said the new development reflects the fact China is New Zealand's second largest export market and two-way trade is $15 billion a year.
