Peters again questions Dunne over leaks

4:19 pm on 5 June 2013

New Zealand First leader Winston Peters has launched another attack on the credibility od the United Future leader Peter Dunne.

Last week, Mr Peters accused Mr Dunne of leaking a secret report about the Government Communications Security Bureau.

Mr Peters used an appearance of Mr Dunne at the Social Services select committee to question him over how seriously he considers privacy breaches.

"On the question of investigating a leak if it was discovered, would you expect the investigator to conduct that inquiry requiring the witness to be, a, under oath, and b, recorded electronically for future reference?" he said.

"I'm not going to comment on that Mr Peters. That would relate entirely to what the situation was and what the nature of the investigation would be," Mr Dunne replied.

Outside the hearing, Peter Dunne said he had no idea what Winston Peters was trying to achieve.
