Submissions closing date on GCSB legislation extended

The closing date for submissions on legislation governing the country's electronic spy agency has been extended.

The bill includes amendments allowing the Government Communications Security Bureau to spy on New Zealanders on behalf of the police, the Defence Force and the Security Intelligence Service.

Prime Minister John Key says the closing date for submissions is now 21 June.
