A former trade unionist and professional director wants companies to start putting senior executives on casual contracts.

People who are employed on a casual basis agree to work only as and when needed and are given no guarantee of ongoing work.
Such contracts are often criticised for weakening workers' rights and security.
Rob Campbell, who is on the boards of companies like Tourism Holdings and Summerset Group said businesses had mainly exploited opportunities for casualisation at the lower end of the job market but potential gains were bigger at the top.
He said his companies had many positions that could be fulfilled by highly skilled but not necessarily full-time permanent employees.
Mr Campbell said it would save money and allow staff to contribute their best to their work.
