Commerce Minister Simon Power is welcoming the direction of a taskforce designed to develop New Zealand's capital markets.
The Capital Market Development Taskforce is an industry-led group established to produce a plan to develop New Zealand's capital market.
Mr Power says the interim report identifies underdeveloped markets, low levels of investment and poorly regulated market practices as areas of concern.
He says the update outlines the potential shape of the final report.
