The Green Party's newest MP has used his maiden speech in Parliament to reaffirm the party's commitment to social justice.

David Clendon has replaced Sue Bradford, who left Parliament last month after serving 10 years as a Green MP.

Mr Clendon told Parliament the party would continue Ms Bradford's work on social justice issues, and continue to advocate and fight for the most vulnerable and least well off in society.

He paid tribute to Ms Bradford, saying her dedication, courage, intellect and endurance won her support from across the political spectrum.
