PM confesses to sloppy share management

6:07 am on 17 February 2010

The Prime Minister has told Parliament he's been a bit sloppy in the management of his share portfolio.

John Key's shareholding in an Australian mining company, Jackson's Minerals, was made public at the weekend.

Mr Key bought the shares in 2001 and is now in the process of selling them.

The Labour Party says Mr Key should have more meticulous in the management of his share portfolio.

But Mr Key says he's received an assurance from the Cabinet Office that there is no conflict of interest.
