Staff credit card stolen

4:08 pm on 11 June 2010

A thief who took a credit card belonging to a staff member in the Prime Minister's office spent almost $850.

The incident is outlined in pages of documents containing receipts for ministerial credit card spending to April 2003.

The records show the credit card was used for three days in October last year at seven stores including Burger King, Herbal Heaven and San's Cigarettes.

The records also show the card was cancelled, police were notified and the Bank of New Zealand refunded the amount spent.
