Rudd to visit New Zealand at end of month

Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd will travel to New Zealand at the end of the month for the annual meeting between the two countries' prime ministers.

In a first for a foreign leader, Mr Rudd will deliver a speech to the members of the House of Representatives in the debating chamber of Parliament.

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will also use the occasionto keep pushing the case for a single economic market, saying there would be benefits from enhanced productivity and lower costs of doing business.

Mr Rudd arrives on 29 June.
