The National Party's board has re-elected Peter Goodfellow as president of the party at its annual conference in Auckland.
Despite some discontent about Mr Goodfellow's leadership, he was re-elected to the board on Saturday with the highest number of votes. The board then met on Sunday morning to elect the party's president.
Mr Goodfellow says he is thankful for the board's support and unity.
He told the conference the party is in great shape but delegates should not be complacent about next year's election.
