Maori Party co-leader Pita Sharples says a constitutional review promised as part of a support agreement with National, should begin soon.
He says that while the Marine and Coastal Area Takutai Moana Bill is not everything the party hoped for, the review will give Maori another opportunity to fight for their rights.
"The review should enable us to create new pathways," he said.
Dr Sharples told Waatea News that the Government is currently picking the team to conduct the constitutional review.
