US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is likely to visit New Zealand in November.
The United States embassy in Wellington says Mrs Clinton will travel to the region in November and expects to visit New Zealand during the trip.
It says an announcement on exact timing will be made closer to the visit.
Mrs Clinton had planned to visit Auckland in January, but cancelled her trip to deal with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
