Labour candidate for Dunedin North announced

10:54 am on 26 September 2010

The Labour Party has selected its candidate for the Dunedin North electorate, a seat held by Pete Hodgson for 20 years.

Mr Hodgson is retiring at next year's general election.

University Warden David Clark won selection on Saturday ahead of two other candidates.

Mr Clark has been warden at Selwyn College for three years and serves on the Otago Community Trust.

Dunedin North has always been a strong Labour seat but the party says it is taking nothing for granted in next year's election.
