A date has been set for the Labour Party's disciplinary hearing for Te Atatu MP Chris Carter.
Mr Carter is now an independent MP after being expelled from Labour's Caucus for criticising its leader Phil Goff.
Mr Carter is still a member of the Labour Party, but that could change after its council meets on 11 October.
Party president Andrew Little says Mr Carter and his representatives will be given a chance to respond to allegations made against him.
Labour could censure Mr Carter, suspend or expel him from the party.
Meanwhile, Mr Goff says Mr Carter would not be welcome at Labour's annual conference on 15 October.
Labour is looking for a replacement candidate in Te Atatu, with nominations closing on Friday.
Mr Goff will not say how many names have been put forward so far.
