The Government is publicising how much the Ministry of Social Development hands out to individual community providers.
It has launched a website detailing the 2000 providers, the services they offer and how much government funding they receive.
Social Development Minister Paula Bennett says the site offers transparency because people are able to see how much is being spent and on what type of services.
Ms Bennett says other ministries - including justice, health, education and Te Puni Kokiri (Ministry of Maori Development) - will be added to the site soon.
