An independent panel has been established to review the provision of science and technology support to the Defence Force.
Defence Minister Wayne Mapp says a recent White Paper identified the need for a comprehensive review of the Defence Technology Agency.
He says expert advice on science and technology is essential to a modern-day defence force.
The panel will be led by Rear-Admiral David Ledson.
