Key not troubled by Harawira ructions

Prime Minister John Key is unfazed by ructions within the Maori Party, saying National has solid support from the party leaders.

The outspoken MP Hone Harawira faces a complaint laid by the party's whip Te Ururoa Flavell after a newspaper article criticising its support of the National-led Government and the Marine and Coastal Areas Bill.

John Key told Morning Report on Monday that concerns within the Maori Party about Mr Harawira are not new, and the Government has solid support from the party's co-leaders and other party members.

He said it will be up to the voters, in the end, to decide who his potential coalition partners might be.

Mr Key heads to Ratana Pa on Monday, joining other political figures at the annual celebrations of the Ratana Church.
