The Maori Party has issued a media ban on the entire party until a disciplinary hearing into suspended MP Hone Harawira is concluded.
The party's disputes and disciplinary committee is considering a complaint against the MP for Te Tai Tokerau by its whip Te Ururoa Flavell.
In a newspaper article, Mr Harawira publicly criticised his party's close relationship with the National Goverment, prompting the complaint by Mr Flavell.
A hearing last week was adjourned to give Mr Harawira a chance to hold hui in his electorate.
Maori Party president Pem Bird says the ban will be strictly observed by all of the party, including Mr Harawira, until the hearing is over.
