Secretary of Education Karen Sewell to retire

The Secretary for Education, Karen Sewell, is to retire at the end of July.
Ms Sewell has been in the role since 2006 and before that was chief executive of the Education Review Office.
Education Minister Anne Tolley has thanked Ms Sewell for her commitment to public service, saying she deserves praise for her hard work in lifting achievement standards for students.
