Te Tai Tokerau MP Hone Harawira has been criticised by the New Zealand Jewish Council for comparing new ACT Party leader Don Brash to Adolf Hitler -- on the international day of Holocaust remembrance.
In a television interview on Sunday, Mr Harawira compared Dr Brash to Hitler.
It is not the first time he has made the comparison.
NZJC president Stephen Goodman says it is an inappropriate and offensive analogy.
He says such references belittle the Holocaust and are deeply offensive to anyone who suffered under Hitler's regime.
