The National Party continues to hold a commanding lead over the Labour Party in two opinion polls out on Sunday.
In the One News-Colmar Brunton poll Labour is 27 percentage points behind National and in the 3 News-Reid Research poll it is 30 percentage points behind.
In the One News poll National had 56% support and Labour 29%, while in the 3 News poll National was on 57.4% and Labour 26.6%.
The Green Party was the only other party to get above 5% in either poll, getting 9% in the One News Poll and 9.8% in the 3 News poll.
The ACT Party has slipped back slightly in both polls to 1.3% and 1.6% respectively, failing to make any gains since Don Brash became the party's leader.
Both polls surveyed about 1000 people and have margins of error of plus or minus 3.1%.
