New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has honoured a bet with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and flown the Australian flag at his weekly post-cabinet news conference.
They had the bet over the NRL grand final, when Manly beat the Warriors.
The loser agreed to display the other's flag and on Monday Mr Key appeared with the flags of both countries behind him.
He says he has another bet with Ms Gillard over the Rugby World Cup: the loser will have to eat an apple from the winner's country and speak effusively about its virtues.
